Star of The Scheme convicted of drug-smuggling bid | Glasgow and West | STV News: "Dayna McLaughlin - who, along with boyfriend Marvin and his dog Bullet, became unlikely stars of the documentary - admitted trying to smuggle heroin into Kilmarnock Prison last July.

Two episodes of The Scheme have been shown on BBC1 Scotland to date, with another two postponed indefinitely owing to a court case involving someone featured in the later episodes.

Dayna, 19, admitted possessing the drug with intent to supply and failing to appear at court on a previous occasion.

Her 30-year-old boyfriend is also facing a court appearance. He was accused of stealing toiletries from a Co-op shop in Kilmarnock. He has denied the charges and pleaded not guilty by letter at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court. A trial has been set for later this year."
