David Redshaw, 38, of Crieff Walk in Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to throwing drugs into the Stockton jail on December 8 last year. He was due to be sentenced at Teesside Crown Court.

Colin Paul Clark faced 22 charges of supplying heroin after selling it to an undercover police officer on 21 occasions between October 17 and November 20 last year.Colin ClarkOfficers also observed Colin Paul Clark dealing to members of the public on a further three occasions, said prosecutor Gillian Milton.
When he was arrested last December he was in possession of six wraps of heroin.
He had previously been jailed in 2006 for three years for possession with intent to supply, Teesside Crown Court was told on September 18.Ian Mullarkey, mitigating, said Clark had been a drug addict for 13 years and was dealing to fund his own habit. He claims to be selling drugs on a dealer's behalf.Judge Michael Taylor told Clark: "It is an evil trade and one which you willingly entered into. The courts will do all they can to stamp out that trade, and long sentences must follow, and yours must be five years.

He was seen twice by police dealing in highly-addictive crack cocaine which the judge, Recorder Colin Burn, said caused nothing but misery.
He was also convicted of supplying another dealer with a rock of crack cocaine - who then handed it straight to undercover police.On sentencing Quinn the judge said: "The drug in which you dealt makes this a very serious matter.Philip Quinn
"As you heard during the trial, crack cocaine is a highly-addictive drug for which there is no medical substitute and causes great misery and no doubt a little profit to you."

Mojataba Baharloui, 37, arrived after them and he was found to be carrying £1,500, and drugs and the weapon were found in the house.torch-gun was found at the man’s Hartlepool home when it was raided by police with a warrant to search for drugs, said prosecutor Anne Davies.Policed seized 253 Diazepam tablets, 11 foil wraps of cannabis resin and a small amount of amphetamines which were all for his personal use, Teesside Crown Court was told.The stun-gun was capable of discharging high-voltage charges.He maintained that the gun was a torch which he bought from a friend.
Rupert Doswell, defending, said: “He maintained that he originally bought the item as a torch for £20, and the fact that attracted him to it was that it was rechargable and could be plugged into a jack.”Baharloui had developed a drug habit four years ago following the deaths of his parents in Iran, and he took them to dull the pain of his loss.He lived with his partner and he helped out at her takeaway shop, the court heard.The Recorder of Middlesbrough Judge Peter Fox QC said it was an “exceptional case for firearms”.He said: “It was a firearm apparently with a difference, that you say and have always said, that you bought it as a torch, and from what I have heard I give you the benefit of the doubt.“I accept that your purpose was to use this thing as a torch, which it is capable of being used as such.”
