AFP: Iran hangs four rapists, drug trafficker: report: "drug trafficker who was also hanged on Tuesday was identified as Masoud, 33, convicted of smuggling eight kilogrammes (17 pounds) of heroin, the report said.
The hangings bring to at least 79 the number of people put to death in Iran so far this year, according to an AFP count based on news reports. Last year, at least 270 people were hanged."
