'Slim' O'Neill and his wife, 44-year-old Lecia O'Neill, face federal charges of conspiracy to deliver for allegedly distributing at least 5 kilograms or more of narcotics between January 2000 and May 2010.
O'Neill was in custody after a court appearance Wednesday, while his wife was released with conditions that included drug tests and electronic monitoring.
The office of James O'Neill's attorney, David Dokken, said he was unavailable for comment Thursday.
Court records showed O'Neill reported only about $3,000 in income since 1998, but deposited about $200,000 into bank accounts since February 2004. A Drug Enforcement Agency complaint alleged that Lecia O'Neill made the deposits to the family's bank accounts with the drug money."
