Bombs found after drugs raid - Hartlepool Mail: "John Rayner, 35, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possessing explosive devices after the raids on Monday, April 26.
Rayner, of The Paddock, Elwick, is now set to appear before a judge at crown court next week.A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: 'A substantial amount of cash was found at the property in The Paddock. 'A subsequent search of an industrial unit in Peterlee, with the assistance of Durham Police, yielded three explosive devices which were dealt with by experts and at no point were the public at risk.'Superintendent Rob Coulson, of Durham Police, said: 'Following the discovery of the grenades, suitable safety measures were put in place and we are satisfied no members of the public were put at risk as a result of what took place.'Rayner appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, where he did not enter any pleas and had his case sent to Teesside Crown Court.
He was remanded in custody until he appears before a judge on Wednesday, May 5.A 28-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and suspicion of money laundering following the raids"
